Make quotes yours: types, pricing knobs and branding

Out of the box, Mastro quotes like a sensible generalist. Ten minutes in two settings screens makes it quote like your business — offering only your trades, at your numbers, under your logo.

Quote customization: trade-type toggles beside a branded quote preview with logo and VAT line

Offer only what you do

Settings → Quote types lists every trade Mastro can quote. Switch off the ones you don't offer — a painter doesn't do gardening — and they disappear from the new-quote flow. Fewer choices on site means faster quotes and no accidental "sure, we also do decking".

Tune a type's standard numbers

Each type you offer can be customized: open it and adjust its pricing knobs — the standard numbers that type starts from. A live preview shows the fixed price moving as you adjust, and anything you leave alone stays at the standard value, so customizing is never all-or-nothing. Types you've touched are marked, and reset to standard undoes an experiment in one tap.

Two levels to keep straight: your labour rate and buffers (set them first) apply to every quote you make; a type's knobs shape that one trade. Rate first, knobs second.

Put your name on it

Settings → Branding is what the customer sees on every quote and PDF:

  • Logo — PNG, JPG, WEBP or SVG, under 2 MB. PNG/JPG also print on the PDF, so prefer those.
  • Business details and address — the quote header.
  • VAT / UID number (e.g. CHE-123.456.789 MWST) — on the header, where Swiss clients expect it. Whether and at what rate VAT is charged lives with your pricing settings.

Branding is saved once for the whole platform — every quote type, the client portal, the PDFs.

The payoff on site

None of this shows as "configuration" to the customer. What they see is a contractor whose app offers exactly their services, prices them without hesitation, and hands over a branded, VAT-correct fixed-price quote — built in front of them in minutes.

Frequently asked

Do I have to configure every quote type?

No. Every type ships with sensible standard pricing — customizing is optional, per type, and anything you don't touch stays at the standard value. Most owners only tune the one or two types they quote daily.

I changed a type's pricing and regret it — can I go back?

Yes — every customized type has a reset to standard. One tap returns it to the shipped values.

Why is my logo not showing on the PDF?

SVG logos display in the app but PNG/JPG are what print on the PDF — upload one of those (under 2 MB) and it appears on both.
