Set up SOPs for your crew

SOPs — standard operating procedures — are how a growing crew does the work the same way every time, whether or not you're on-site. Mastro keeps them in one searchable library and shares them with the whole crew on a single link.

Step 1 — Open the SOP library

Go to SOPs in the app. This is your library of procedures — searchable and grouped by category.

Step 2 — Create a procedure

As an owner or manager, create an SOP: give it a clear title, pick a category, and write the steps. Keep each one to a single job done well — "waterproofing a wet room," "handover checklist" — rather than a giant manual.

Step 3 — Keep them findable

Use categories and clear titles so a crew member can find the right procedure in seconds on-site. SOPs are versioned, so you can update them as your methods improve without losing the history.

Click Share with crew to mint your org-wide SOP link. This is one link for the whole team — no logins to manage. Send it once (pin it in your crew WhatsApp group) and everyone has the procedures in their pocket.

Step 5 — The crew reads in their language

The crew reader is a no-login page with its own language picker, so each team member can read the procedure in the language they're most comfortable in — useful on a multilingual site.

Why bother

SOPs are what let you take a day off without the job quality dropping. They turn "the way I do it" into "the way we do it" — which is the difference between a one-person operation and a business that can grow.

Next: make sure the right people have access with invite your crew and set roles.

Frequently asked

Do crew members need a login to read SOPs?

No. You share one org-wide crew link and the whole team reads the SOPs from it — no accounts, and it opens in their language.

Who can create or edit SOPs?

Owners and managers create, edit and delete SOPs. Crew have read access via the shared link.
