Help & SupportCommunications

Manage every message in one inbox

Job communication is scattered by default: the quote question lands on WhatsApp, the supplier confirms by email, the client writes through the portal. The unified inbox folds all of it into one place — threaded by person and project, not by app — so the whole story of a job is readable in one column.

The unified inbox: conversation list, open thread and context pane, with an unknown sender awaiting triage

One conversation per relationship

Messages don't pile up as a flat list. A client's WhatsApp messages, their emails and their portal notes fold into a single conversation attached to their project. Open the job's thread and you see everything that's been said, regardless of which app it arrived in.

Three panes: conversations on the left, the open thread in the middle, context on the right. On a phone, the panes stack.

Cut the list down with filters

Three filters combine: channel (email, WhatsApp, portal), contact type (customers, leads, suppliers, team, administration) and timing. "Unanswered customer WhatsApp messages" is two taps — that's the follow-up list that wins jobs.

Triage: teach the inbox who people are

A message from an unknown sender waits for one decision from you:

An unknown sender and the triage choices: classify by type, link to a known contact, or ignore One decision per sender — after that their messages file themselves.

  • Classify — new lead, customer, team member, supplier, or administration (tax office, insurer — the official mail every business gets).
  • Link — it's someone you already know, on a new number or address.
  • Ignore — noise.

You decide once. From then on that sender's messages file themselves into the right conversation, and a classified lead lands in your pipeline where it belongs.

Reply on the right channel

Reply from inside the thread and choose how it goes out — which channel, and for email, which connected mailbox. The client gets your message where they expect it; you never left the inbox.

When a thread is on the wrong job

A client with two projects, a supplier quoting for the next job — reassign the conversation to the right project from the thread and the history moves with it.

Messages from the client portal

When a homeowner writes through their portal, it arrives here like any other message, already attached to the right project and client. No new app for them, no separate inbox for you.

Next: connect the channels that feed this — WhatsApp and email.

Frequently asked

Do I have to stop using my normal email or WhatsApp?

No. Mastro connects to the accounts you already use and mirrors the conversations. You can reply from either side — the inbox just makes sure the job's whole story is in one place.

What happens to messages from numbers or addresses Mastro doesn't know?

They wait in the inbox for a quick triage: tell Mastro who the sender is (a lead, customer, supplier, team member or administration), link them to an existing contact, or ignore them. One tap, and every future message files itself.

Can a conversation be attached to the wrong project?

It can happen — a client with two jobs, say. Open the conversation and reassign it to the right project; the messages move with it.
