Connect bexio to Mastro

Connecting bexio lets Mastro run the site side of the business while bexio stays your accounting source of truth — without you entering the same contacts, quotes and invoices twice. It takes about two minutes.

Before you start

  • You'll need an existing bexio account and permission to sign in to it.
  • You need to be an owner in Mastro (connections are owner-only).

Step 1 — Open Connections

In Mastro, go to Settings → Connections. You'll see a card for bexio alongside your other channels.

Step 2 — Start the connection

Click Connect bexio. Mastro hands you over to bexio's own secure sign-in (OIDC) — you authenticate with bexio, not with a password stored in Mastro.

Step 3 — Authorise

Sign in to your bexio account and approve the connection. bexio sends you back to Mastro, and the bexio card now shows as connected.

Step 4 — Let the first sync run

Once connected, Mastro begins syncing on its schedule. You don't need to do anything — within the next sync window your bexio contacts, quotes and invoices start appearing against your projects and pipeline.

What syncs, and which way

DataDirectionWhen
Contactsbexio → MastroScheduled sync
Quotesbexio ↔ MastroSync + on quote acceptance
Invoicesbexio → MastroScheduled sync
InvoiceMastro → bexioJob completed (draft)

When a quote is accepted in Mastro, a draft offer is created in bexio; when a job is marked complete, a draft invoice is created for you to review and send. Nothing is posted to your ledger automatically — you stay in control of what goes out.

Troubleshooting

  • "Existing users only." The connection signs in to a bexio account that already exists; it never creates one. Set up bexio first, then connect.
  • Card won't connect. Make sure you completed the bexio sign-in in the popup and approved the permissions, then try Connect again.
  • Data hasn't appeared yet. The first pull runs on the next scheduled window, not instantly — give it a little time before checking your pipeline.

Frequently asked

Do I need an existing bexio account?

Yes. The connection signs you in to an existing bexio account — it doesn't create one. If you don't use bexio yet, set it up at bexio.com first, then connect.

How often does it sync?

Contacts, quotes and invoices are pulled from bexio on a regular schedule (roughly every few hours). Quote and invoice drafts are pushed to bexio when the triggering event happens (quote accepted / job completed).

Will connecting change my bexio data?

The pull is read-only into Mastro. The only things Mastro creates in bexio are draft offers and draft invoices — always drafts you review before sending, never posted automatically.
